Have you always wanted to tour an active mine? Wondered what it’s like to be a miner?  What treasures are left in the Klondike Gold Fields?  Are the Dawson City streets really filled with gold?  Get the answers to these questions and more when you visit our active—family owned—gold mine!

This 3-hour mine tour includes transportation to the Millar mine, which is located at the former town site of Gold Bottom.  During the Gold Rush, this thriving, sociable community boasted a population of approximately 5000 people.  Learn about this once vibrant community while you view some of the artifacts that these stampeders left behind.

The tour also includes fun and interactive explanations and demonstrations of both historic and modern placer -mining methods and techniques.  From staking a claim to selling your gold, the experts at Goldbottom will share the inside secrets of this fascinating industry.

Now that you’ve learned the tricks of the trade, it’s your turn to try some panning!  The tour concludes with some time swirling and sifting through Hunker Creek.  If you find some gold, it’s yours to keep!
