Yukon’s Bioblitz 2018 at Tombstone – a biological treasure hunt!
The Yukon Conservation Data Centre, Yukon Parks, and Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in invite you to the BioBlitz on June 28th to July 1st, 2018.
What is a BioBlitz?
A hunt to find as many kinds of living things as possible within a short time. Last year we recorded 819 species in Kluane, including 14 never before seen in the Yukon!
Talks and walks with scientists to learn more about the incredible diversity of life in Tombstone. Watch for posters with schedule to come.
•Tombstone Park is part of Beringia, the vast unglaciated region stretching from the central Yukon to eastern Siberia that was isolated from the rest of North America when ice covered much of Canada. Because of this, it hosts a number of species found nowhere else in the world.
