Frontier Ball tells the story of collaboration, creation, presentation and celebration in a remote town in the North. Through community engagement, economic development and creative innovation, artists will come together to strengthen ties between contemporary expression and cultural heritage. Set within the backdrop of the historic Palace Grand Theatre, this signature event will engage the audience in a fusion of culinary, visual, performing and fashion arts. As participants experience accents of art throughout the evening, they will become enlightened, engaged and educated on northern culture.
Stakeholders included in this event are Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in First Nation, Parks Canada, Yukon Government, local non-profit and for profit businesses, arts societies, tourism research networks, academia and media. As the premier event, industry investors and government agencies are invited to engage with community members to collaborate on future projects that sustain art, tourism, education and other economic development opportunities in the north.
