Friday June 25, 2021: GORDIE TENTREES
International touring, award nominated Canadian Gordie Tentrees has arrived. This authentic road poet travels North America, Europe, UK/Ireland, Australia and New Zealand with 7 records behind him & never repeating himself on stage. From headlining Celtic Connections (Glasgow) to the National Folk Festival (Canberra) his ability to hold an audience, weave melody and juggle the dark with the light is infectious. Armed with harmonica, bottleneck resonator, guitar and foot percussion this one man band has performed 2500 concerts in 11 countries. Fred Eaglesmith took him around the world in his early days and he has since shared the stage with Mary Gauthier, James Cotton, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Kelly Joe Phelps and Steve Poltz. Recently he did a 15 date solo concert tour in New Zealand which included headlining the Auckland Folk Festival right before the pandemic hit.
