Writers and book lovers of all ages are welcome to join us for this FREE event! \nWalking TourThe walking tour invites you to experience Dawson City through the eyes of literary greats Jack London\, Robert Service\, Dick North and Pierre Berton.  Participants learn about the colourful and captivating pasts of these authors while visiting their historic homes with costume clad interpreters. \nThe tour commences at the Jack London Museum\, proceeds to Parks Canada’s Robert Service Cabin and concludes on the lawn of the Berton House\, which houses Writers in Residence year-round. \nFree Admission! \n\n\nWriting Contest- Deadline July 18th\, 2021Authors on Eighth Writing Contest is a celebration of writers Jack London\, Pierre Berton\, Robert Service and Dick North. Submissions are judged by a panel including the Berton Writer's Retreat writer in residence and a local judge. Prizes include gold nuggets and Klondike books. \nTo Enter: \n- Email your submission to KVA@Dawson.net\, including your Full name\, Pen name\, Address\, Telephone Number. \n-Please fix your submission in a Word document format attached to the email (no .pdfs). Do not include your name in your word document. Maximum one entry per person. \n-Categories: Poetry\, Short Story & Under 16 \n-Theme: Survival \n-All work must be previously unpublished \n- Maximum word count: 1800 \n- Work must be sent in English \nIt is FREE to enter the contest.
