This genre-defying project will combine original composition with favourites from artists that toe the lines between jazz\, blues\, classical\, folk\, and whatever else they happened to be listening to that day. \nHannah Mazurek is a Whitehorse-based vocalist\, multi-instrumentalist\, conductor\, composer\, and technician. They have performed in concert and theatre settings across the country including the oratorio Miziwe… everywhere by composer Barbara Assiginaak (Koerner Hall\, Toronto\, 2019)\, Larrikin Entertainment’s WYRD: A Musical Unfairytale (Yukon Arts Centre\, 2023)\, The Loon Returns (Problematic Orchestra\, 2023)\, and I Think I’m Fallin: The Songs of Joni Mitchell (Belfry Theatre\, Victoria\, 2023). With a formal background in classical music\, they are the current Artistic Director of Whitehorse’s Problematic Orchestra and have composed for theatre\, stage\, and film. When they’re not writing or performing\, you can find Hannah coiling cables and plugging things in\, as well as playing in many\, many\, many bands. New Brunswick-born Acadians Julie Aubé\, Katrine Noël and Vivianne Roy have been bringing forth their sparkling\, multifaceted folk-rock for over a decade\, renewing their musical proposition with each new release. Her songs come from the unique perspective of a queer woman\, a child of a refugee\, a resident of the precipice of the wilderness of Canada. Its mission is to nurture the gift of creativity in the Northern Territories by offering platforms for presentation and opportunities for cultural exchange\, including but not limited to the (s)hiver arts festival. The Yukon's Legends Variety Show! \nTo raise funds for the 50th Percy DeWolfe Memorial Mail Race\, a lineup of legendary Yukon artists will be performing on the Diamond Tooth Gerties stage for one night of music\, dancing\, burlesque\, and more! All proceeds from this event will go to the Dawson City Dog Sports Club. \nHistory of the Percy DeWolfe Memorial Mail RacePercy DeWolfe arrived in the Yukon in 1989\, only to find all of the good claims for gold were already taken. After a decade of fishing along the Yukon River\, the hardy Dawson character began to deliver the mail between Eagle\, Alaska and Dawson City\, Yukon in 1910 - 1949. Percy carried mail by dog team\, horse\, and by boat year round. Battling ice flows during freeze up and break up\, and the extreme winter weather in temperature of -50 below. Percy served his community courageously and in 1977\, the first Percy DeWolfe Memorial Mail Race was held to commemorate his legacy and service. The Dawson City Dog Sports Club\, a non-profit organization\, hosts the race and ensures that Percy's legacy is remembered and celebrated to this day.

You can be apart of honouring our history by purchasing an official Percy DeWolfe letter\, which will be sent in this first bag of mail.
