This genre-defying project will combine original composition with favourites from artists that toe the lines between jazz\, blues\, classical\, folk\, and whatever else they happened to be listening to that day. \nHannah Mazurek is a Whitehorse-based vocalist\, multi-instrumentalist\, conductor\, composer\, and technician. They have performed in concert and theatre settings across the country including the oratorio Miziwe… everywhere by composer Barbara Assiginaak (Koerner Hall\, Toronto\, 2019)\, Larrikin Entertainment’s WYRD: A Musical Unfairytale (Yukon Arts Centre\, 2023)\, The Loon Returns (Problematic Orchestra\, 2023)\, and I Think I’m Fallin: The Songs of Joni Mitchell (Belfry Theatre\, Victoria\, 2023). With a formal background in classical music\, they are the current Artistic Director of Whitehorse’s Problematic Orchestra and have composed for theatre\, stage\, and film. When they’re not writing or performing\, you can find Hannah coiling cables and plugging things in\, as well as playing in many\, many\, many bands.
