Dawson City 48 hour film festival challenge

48 Hour Film Challenge

The 48 Film Challenge is a competition that calls to all creators in the Yukon (a Canada-wide option available) to produce a short film in a 48-hour time period. Creators are given key(s) at the start of the challenge that they must include in their film in a creative way, whether it be physically, verbally, etc. The challenge encourages creators to push themselves to conceive a unique film, starting from the script, directing and filming completely through to the final editing – all within the allotted timeframe. To find out more about the challenge on October 2023 visit DawsonFilmFest.com

Come to the KIAC Ballroom to watch the screenings of the 48-Hour Film Contest!  These fun, quirky, northern films will leave you laughing, crying and wanting more.  Don’t forget to vote for your favourites!

Admission by donation. Popcorn and cash bar available.
The 48 Film Challenge screening in Dawson City is hosted by KIAC.
