Waking from the deep sleep of winter the Ostara Project is a beautiful musical collaboration featuring the compositions and talents of several outstanding musicians, celebrating rebirth and renewal, as our spring cycle of growth begins anew. Each member of the ensemble has given their reverence to explore their personal musical heritage and identity as a Canadian Settler and citizen, embarking on new projects and sounds to bring light to the creativity, experiences, and talents of Canadian women in Jazz.

In a genre and industry where women have been severely underrepresented, the Ostara Project is a beautiful example of perseverance, community, and a deep love for music. New growth rises out of darkness, stretching for new life, propelled by hope. This is the music of Ostara.
