Visitor Information Centre
Just arrived in Dawson City for the first time? Stop by the Visitor Information Centre (VIC) for the latest information! Our friendly staff will help you make your trip even more memorable! The Visitor Information Centre has the latest on what’s going on in and around Dawson City. From unique local events, to road conditions and ferry schedules of surrounding places, the VIC will answer all your questions, and help you plan your journey on from Dawson City. Parks Canada has attendants located within the VIC with tickets for interpretive programs available on site. The VIC is not just packed full of useful brochures and maps, there are also eye catching artifacts and displays. The VIC is the place where any and all of your questions about Dawson City can be answered!
The Yukon Government VIC is open seasonally from May 1 – September 30 from 8am to 8pm. Give us a call at 867-993-5566 (May 1 to September 30) or email us at vic.dawsoncity@gov.yk.ca. In the off-season (Oct 1 – April 30), contact Klondike Visitors Association at 1-867-993-5575 for all your visitor inquiries.
If you have any questions about travelling onto the Northwest Territories via the Dempster Highway,you can visit the NWT Visitor Information Centre, conveniently located across the street. You can also give them a call at 867-993-6167 (May to September).
